The story of Hero Societies
And our story started with a very special hero – Leonora Carlucci, mother of our co-founder Cecil Palmer.
An entrepreneur, business owner, pillar of her community, and an independent woman, she lit up every room with her charm and intelligence. She’s the original hero of Hero Societies.
Her legacy as a strong-willed, accomplished woman motivates us to recognize all heroes, from firefighters and first responders to our own families and friends.
And her beloved son, Cecil Palmer, was one of the catalysts who first set out to specialize in custom challenge coin sets that recognize heroes from our own lives and the lives of those we love. Like his mother, he knew many people throughout his life who were heroes in their own right – and we aspire to honor those people who are heroes to us every day.
